|
 Odae Mountain, the location of Woljungsa, is a place regarded as a sacred place of Buddhism, where fifty thousand Bodhisattvas reside, as well as for its outstanding views. Wol-jung sa is the central temple on Odae Mountain. Buddhist precept master Jajang built it after he came here with real relics of Buddha, received from Manjisri (Bodhisattva of Wisdom) on Odae Mountain in China. It is famous for the pine wood that stretch for about 1 km from the one pillar gate to the main hall, and there is an octagonal nine-story stone pagoda, designated a National Treasure, towering over the area. |
